Aside from taking UDCA to decrease your bile acids and helping to keep your baby safe, some women have found the following things helpful in alleviating the symptoms. Please note that these should not be a replacement for the medicated treatment of Ursodeoxycholic Acid that help to reduce the bile acids in your blood and that of your baby in utero.
- Eat a Low-Fat Diet
- Drink Lots of Water
- Try Benefibre (take separate from UDCA) *
- Try Milk Thistle and Dandelion Root
- Try Sarna Lotion to Cool the Itch **
- Keep Temperature Low/Wear Cool Clothing
